What is claw
A style of play, apparently the controller is often meant. Normally, one "jumps" between the buttons / D-pad and the analog sticks. In the claw style you do not do that, thumb on the sticks, index finger on the buttons / D-pad. At least with PS4 controllers, this is possible, as it makes sense with Xbox controllers as well, I do not know, but you could only play the right half that way.
For example, the Claw style of playing allows you to jump and aim at the same time.
On the other hand, the claw style can also be applied in mice, here you have with the palm of minimal contact with the mouse, fingertips on the keys. Not to be confused with the fingertip style, where you have no contact with the palm of your hand to the mouse and only uses the fingertips.
