Ping problems [Fortnite]?

I have ping issues in Fortnite as described in the title question.

Every day at 20:30 to 22:30 my ping rises to 300% higher from 40 to 120.

Is that due to my provider, I should call times.

On PC, LAN cable or Fortnite errors it is not.

Now, how could I fix or mitigate these?

Pa

Separate all other devices in the household from the Internet. That helps me. Otherwise, it is probably simply due to the high load of the Internet at this time.

Thanks, that's what I imagined. It's just a pity that I'm forced to play other games. That works with the devices unfortunately not because I do not live alone and of course, the need for Wi-Fi. Otherwise it can probably do nothing wrong, right?

How are you connected to the internet? DSL? VDSL? DSL + radio (LTE)? Radio (LTE)?
Depending on how the use is in the area where you live, this can happen. Does your girlfriend watch Netflix in 4K around the time? That could be it, for example.

Wa

Netflix usually runs at different times and sometimes comes in at her, this usually puts my ping on 50. Most likely would be that the Internet is overloaded by the time but every day at exactly the same time? To my connection I'm not an expert but I would type on DSL.

Ma

DSL goes from 2 Mbit (2000er, 2k) (DSL light) to 16 Mbit (16000er, 16k, etc.). Everything about it is usually. VDSL o. DSL + radio. If you really have a DSL connection, that is already difficult in this day and age. 1. There are many VDSL ports that push the DSL ports off by their frequency. 2. Nowadays a lot of streaming over the Internet, so you should live in a region where the DSL connections anyway are not so good - long distance, etc. - it can happen that goes in the main use time in the knee. This should not be noticeable with a VDSL connection.

Wa

All criteria apply. I have 8 mbit and live in a rural area. I almost thought that nothing could be done there.

Ma

Then you can only turn to your provider and ask if he can now offer better. Please do not change from one provider to the next. If you O2 can no longer offer it, the Telekom o. Other it also not - or vice versa usually. Run all connections via telecom lines. But more and more often there are local providers in rural areas, which only use the last mile of Telekom, for example, and the rest is their own network. These can usually offer speeds up to 100k - please pay attention to it. As a former technician, I have so often experienced the customer completely senseless the whole latte of Telekomunikationsanbieter have tried and again and again I was at the door. Only then could I not give the tip.

Wa

We still get glass fiber this year (50k) could change that? I would say that does not have much to do with the server connection. That's my last question for now.
