I sold a fortnite account and today 2 days later the buyer contacted me and asked for a refund because the 8 year old child is said to have made the purchase. However, I had already sent him the data and there was no redemption in the offer. Do I have to send the money back now?
In theory not, he would have to prove that his child had bought it, it will hardly be possible. How much money was it about? It would also be possible that your account has already been "looted" (if that goes into the game) and that he is now giving it back to you. What do his ratings look like? Would be careful.
In addition, he should take better care that his 8-year-old child does not come to his account, you can't do anything about that.
You should undo this simply because the sale of the account was not permitted. Either way he sits on the longer lever. 🤷♀️
If an 8-year-old child made the purchase, a parent does not have to have his account locked up. So also rule violation.
Probably just a protection claim.
There's never a right of withdrawal. Therefore it makes no sense that you have to select this information on ebay.
If the seller allows his 8-year-old child to use his account, that's his problem.
Regardless of the fact that the account sale is not permitted:
You asked the same question earlier on the eBay forum and the buyer paid via PayPal, right?
Then you will soon get to know the term buyer protection, which you offered entirely voluntarily:
Account gone, money gone.
PP is in the game, check out his post in the eBay forum.
