When I play Fortnite games I always get the symbol with the weak internet signal and it lies around. I also have an amplifier on the 1st floor (the router is on the ground floor) but it does next to nothing, ps4 is also connected with a lan cable, so with a reapeter.

Another option, if available, would be to use an existing telephone cable from the ground floor to the first as a network connection. This only manages 100 Mbit / s with 4 wires, but it is stable
And what exactly does the ISP have to do with the repeater?
You should use Avm Mesh. With the Fritz Wi-Fi app you can measure Wi-Fi reception. Make sure to set up the repeater correctly
