Fortnite was really in the hype at the beginning in contrast to now.

Fortnite was never playable. I think the updates add some value to it though
The game itself used to be pretty popular, but when Among Us came in, the game was dead in itself. You can still play it from time to time, but it's not much fun anymore because it still has the same map.
The game is not dead. There are tons of games left. Dead or Alive 5 is dead

For me at least. Eric Games has ruined the game over time.
Maybe a little less with the new season, but Fortnite is still, if you're not the worst player, by far the best eSports and BR game.
