Headset gives sound but no voice?

I wanted to ask why, when I gamble Fortnite on my Switch, why I can hear everything except the voice of the other person, for example, I'm gambling with my friend and he has now complained why I'm not talking and I didn't get any sound from him, I don't know why because the same thing is on the cell phone and that really upsets me, the headset is 2 days old.
