Ps4 Fortnite high ping in certain groups?

Hi, I play on Ps4 Fortnite and generally always have about 20 pings. But as soon as I play with a certain friend, the ping rises to the 500 and nothing works anymore. I don't have this problem with other friends. Can someone help me there or give a possible reason?

This may be due to your friend's internet connection or the wrong server. You access servers at Fornite, but you can set which server you play on, for example, Asia. Your friend probably set the wrong server.
