What is built into the Mac? Would bootcamp Windows on it. Mac OS is not designed to be played.

Just because Minecraft is running does not mean that other games run well, Minecraft is already running well with an Intel HD graphics solution, fortnite is not
Minecraft runs on a potato, that can't be seen as a guideline.
For the emphatic requirements you need an Nvidia GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870 or better.
According to Apple, a GT 755M or Gt 775M is installed.

There are worlds between the graphics card installed in the IMac and the recommendation, no wonder that you then have no useful values.
