Fornite with 0.2 Ghz less?

Hi

I want to download Fortnite, but have noticed that I have min. Need 3.3 GHz.

My Intel I5 only has 3.2.

Sure the game will not go well, but can I start it at all?
Not that I download it for free.

Sa

The clock speed says very little about the actual performance of a CPU. It always depends on the manufacturer, the generation and the number of cores. It's worth a try.

Something is wrong in your question.

You talk about 0.2GHz less, Fortnite needs at least 3.3 and your CPU has 2.3.

3.3 - 2.3 do not result in 0.2.

The fact is: The GHz are not simply what makes up the processor completely and based on the number alone you can't say that so clearly. If your CPU really only manages 2.3 GHz, it will be difficult. The 3.3 GHz are the minimum requirements (I checked again). Usually, if you meet them, it is not fun anyway. In such a game, a smooth game is important.

In a nutshell:

Just try it out, but don't give yourself too much hope.

You can't say it like that. The clock speed is completely irrelevant to the processing power of your processor. Take a look at a benchmark of how your processor performs compared to what it says. Here for example: https://www.userbenchmark.com/...hmark.com/

Ed

You only have 0.1 GHz less. I think that will start but probably with a slight delay.

Ka

It depends on the CPU, GHz as a general performance specification for a CPU are nonsense anyway.

But it should start with almost every CPU.

You would also need to know the graphics card (and amount of RAM) to tell if it will run playably.

Ka

Well, take the base clock from e.g. An i7 8750H, which has significantly less, Fortnite will still run very well with a suitable GPU.

Maybe I didn't express it correctly, but that's exactly what I said: only the clock rate of the CPU says absolutely not enough. You're absolutly right.
