When playing Fortnite it gets around 85 degrees and my Nvidia GeForce 3070 around 60 degrees. Is that too hot
Keeps within limits. CPU is pretty warm. GPU is great.
Which cooler do you use?
This is normal with the boxed cooler supplied and without Vsync, i.e. Correspondingly high utilization.
But you should still swap the cooler for a better one.
CPU is a little warm. But still in the green area.
When it comes down to 90 you can just buy a better CPU cooler.
GPU is absolutely normal.
Intel allows a maximum chip temperature of 100 ° C for the i7-10700. The 85 degrees would still be within the specifications, but you don't have much room for improvement, especially with a view to the coming summer.
What clock rates do the hottest cores work with at this temperature and are you currently using the original Intel cooler?
On the other hand, 60 degrees for the graphics card are great.
I have a gaming pc with fans
Unfortunately, that doesn't tell us which CPU cooler is currently installed. Is the cooler a round aluminum construction with a fan mounted vertically on it and blowing towards the mainboard?
Blowing fan towards mainboard
Does the cooler look something like the one shown here in the product description?

Thank you for helping me in this way, no it doesn't look like it it looks https://www.mindfactory.de/...92442.html like on this link (is not the same)
Unfortunately you only linked the picture of a fan. We need a photo or a link to the entire CPU cooler including its cooling fins.
P.s.:
Recently, you can post-process your question here at Girlfriend for an unlimited period of time… So you can easily upload a photo of your CPU cooler right here in your question.
Ok, I'll do it…
I have now uploaded 2 photos
Thank you. That actually seems to be the original Intel "box" cooler, or a similarly low-performing 3rd-Market cheap model. ( Picture 2)
Then a more powerful model should be found. (is not an art)
Please measure how much space there's in your case between the mainboard and the side wall / glass cover of your case, and give us an approximate budget for a better cooler to replace. (if you even want to change the cooler to the PC due to warranty / guarantee)
I'll send you the measurements right away. A buddy of mine who knows this well said that he can build a water cooling system for me. Does this make sense?
Where did they get so much idea from
Age and decades of hobby. There are at least dozen to hundreds of younger members in this forum, where you could have asked exactly the same questions and given help.
But why double and triple when the other members have to discuss a comparable question in a similar way to the two of us here. ☺
With something like that, each member takes the more intensive individual consultation for themselves in the respective questions (dozens to hundreds come every day). 😉
That explains a lot
Unfortunately, the questioner did not answer me. But I think I would have looked for a similar solution with him.
If I see the case like this, with luck, a BeQuiet Shadow Rock 2 or Pure Rock 2 might fit.
Hey @ Amalia95, see this in the hands-on business more like a "call center".
A question - an answer is quickly consumed with dozens of opinions at the same time.
Just stay active here and you will learn "by doing" ☺
If it fits in the case, then your recommendation is not at all wrong. ☺
