Image distortion when I spot Vsync at Fortnite?

I have a problem and if I make Vsync (aslo not limited to 60 fps) then I get an image distortion so strange lines. But I don't find gaming at 60 fps pleasant. How can I fix something like that?

Su

This happens if you lift your FPS limit and chase many frames to the monitor ^^

Try not to make your FPS unlimited, but to limit something.

Because if you have 120FPS with a 60Hz monitor, for example, it will look smoother but you will get "screen tearing"

Di

Thank you! I don't know my way around very well. But as far as I understand, if I have a 30Hz monitor, can I only have a maximum of 30 fps?

Su

So you can have more FPS, but from a certain number you get screen tearing. Depends on the game

Ba

Vsync prevents these lines, if you do it then you have more FPS but the lines

Di

So at Fortnite when I do fps limitation 60 fps I have these lines but when I turn on Vsync it is the same as it were, I don't have it anymore?

Di

Can I make it out without the lines?

Su

Yes, exactly, vsync prevents that

Di

Can you do it somehow. That I don't have a Vsync but these lines are not there either?

Su

You can try to identify vsync and then go higher and higher with the fps until it gets screen tearing, then just put it down

Di

At fortnite it is so you can 30.60, 120 and so on but if I make Vsync then I have 9ch with 30 fps screen tearing. Is it logging on the monitor?

Su

Hmm what monitor do you have?

Di

A 4k monitor with 30Hz bound to the PC with an HDMI cable. I once read you should try a DisplayPort connection instead of HDMI

Su

Yes, Displayport Port is better and should be used when possible.

Di

OK thanks
