Yesterday I helped a friend of mine build his first PC, everything is going great, but for some reason he has exactly 60fps in Fortnite (yes, unfortunately he plays Fortnite) continuously, but has vsync off and the FPS on unlimited, Can someone help me there?
Which monitor does your buddy have and via which interface with which cable did he connect it to which graphics card?
He only has a 60hz monitor, but of course, since the PC is new, he also wants to see how much the part can do and therefore it would be nice to see what the PC can do with unlimited FPS. And as I said, vsync is off, so it can't be that. The monitor is connected with an HDMI cable.
It can be because he has set to a maximum of 60fps in the game or high settings
What is the exact resolution of the monitor, what resolution is your buddy currently setting and what version of HDMI is being used there?
It currently plays on wqhd, but as I said, the FPS must be limited somehow, it has to go through 60fps without any fluctuations
Is the fps limit set in the Nvidia system control if it is an nvidia graphics card? So not only in the in-game settings?
What kind of hardware does the PC actually have?
If Vsync has only been deactivated ingame in this game, then this must be adjusted accordingly in the driver settings of the graphics card.
No, that's not the reason either
Ryzen 7 3700x
Zotac rtx 2060AMP
16gb 3600mhz
where can I change the FPS limit in the NVIDIA Control Panel?
Right click on the desktop -> NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings
The hardware should definitely pack more.
Gsonz has already explained how to get there 😉
Since it stands out at maximum frame rate
You have two tabs, one global settings and next to it program settings. In the program settings you can search for fortnite and see whether it is deactivated there.
Yes, I thought so too, but at maximum frame rate it is already pending, so that no maximum is set
Perfect, I managed it now, it now has about 500-700fps and is happy
