Fortnite Performance Mode stuttering?

Play Fortnite with an HD resolution (720p) with a stable 60 fps in performance mode… V - sync is on and fps are limited to 60 unfortunately I get stuttering want to find out which component is more likely and then replace it. I installed and installed MSI Afterburner the cpu and the gpu observed during a few rounds the cpu was then mostly from 80 to 99 but sometimes from 60 to 80 percent capacity utilization the gpu is most of the time between 20 and 50 very seldom but sometimes even at 60 per cent it would be an upgrade to an i5 2400 which avoids most of the jerks if not all are currently installed:

i3 2100

HD 7750

8 Gb ddr3 Ram

500gb HDD

Dell Optiplex 790 motherboard

Dell Optiplex 790 power supply (265 watts)

would I actually need a new power supply or that?

Ab

Unfortunately, you can no longer upgrade it sensibly, I'm sorry. Either you live with it or you do a complete upgrade or a new PC right away.

Wouldn't the i5 2400 improve performance a lot?

Is just Fortnite

Es

On the one hand, it can of course theoretically be due to the processor if it is 99% busy (ads are not always perfect) it is at the edge of its possibilities.

But it is much more likely that it is due to the Hdd. HDDs are slower than SSDs and if the game and operating system are still on an HDD, there are very often stuttering that can go to a standstill for seconds because the HDD does not deliver the data fast enough.

To check this, turn on the task manager before the game and if you have a stutter then go to the task manager immediately and see whether the HDD was very busy in the last few seconds.

This would also be a cheap way to improve performance if the problem is the HDD.

me

Okay i will do that the system is very slow anyway

me

Habs tested the HDD was never over 60 percent loaded cpu was when the fps unlocked are never under 80 percent and the graphics card was twice under 60 percent

me

The cpu was between 90 and 100 percent the whole time while landing all the time at 100

Once heard that there's a way to double the kernels is that right?

Es

I don't know what you heard there. With the right motherboard, there's the option of plugging multiple processors onto one motherboard. Maybe that was what was meant.

The number of nuclei can't be doubled. Maybe you got confused with threads and cores. This is one thing that is related to the secondary processor, but it is only important when comparing different processors if you want to buy them.

It looks like there's nothing left but to buy another processor.

But if I were you, I would still consider buying a completely new PC, yours is no longer particularly powerful.

If you still want to / have to keep the PC, you should still consider buying a small SSD for the computer. So in addition to the processor. In this case, small means 500 gig. This is a size that I never recommend but in your case it makes sense.

me

No have seen a video where someone has activated two extra cores in his dual core cpu he said that intel always has twice as many cores in the cpu to improve the durability of your cpus

me

Okay i will do that with the ssd too… Everything should have space on it
