I have a 250 GB m.2 ssd and a 1 TB Hdd in my pc, the 250 Gb ssd (as soon as I install fortnite on it) a full ssd and now I have fortnite installed on the HDD, now my question, do I still use the ssd while playing or the HDD? (Loading time?)
If Fortnite is installed on the HDD, the game will also start as fast as from an HDD.
Lol why have you packed so much on the ssd that diie is full. And create space, too full can lead to problems with the hyber and pagefile. Or temp folders.
but you should be clear, installed on hdd can only load as fast as hdd is fast? Or?
If a game is installed on an HDD then of course the HDD is used when gaming.
BUT you probably have Windows on the SSD that makes a significant difference because the HDD does not have to load data from Windows and the game at the same time. If Windows is not on the HDD, there are seldom cases where you absolutely need the SSD for gaming.
And for the future. Hard drive space is important. Both with SSD and HDD, these "supposedly" best configurations for a price "block too little SSD and HDD space. 256 are good for the OS (if you don't switch anything else to Win) but not enough for Win, data on the C and Games.
256 is nothing. If you don't know what everything is stored on C: and change it, that's just enough for the OS.
If I pack fortnite on it then the 250 gb are almost full but only almost (30 gb left, believe me) and without fortnite I still have 150 GB
It is not a good idea to completely pack a hard drive (including SSD). The easiest way is to buy a 1TB sata SSD. That is not as fast as an M2 but about 5 times the speed of a normal HDD and on C: you don't have anything to do with games or anything else.
The Crucial MX 500 is available in all possible sizes and is test winner in comparison and priced on top of that in the lower range of SSDs.
