I get an Intel® Core i9-9900K and I need a fan
I use the CPU in the gaming area and will not overclock it because I have no idea about it. (Mostly I play Fortnite, and the game is known to need a lot of CPU power)
So I wanted to ask you which fan you recommend to me. It should be neater, not make loud noises, and not get stuck at anything etc. I'd rather spend a little more money than buy a stupid fan. I think you know what I mean. Budget about 20-80 euro.
As I said, CPU is used in the gaming area and NOT overclocked
Since when does Fortnite need a lot of CPU power? Actually, GPU performance is more in demand, and an i9-9900K for Fortnite, in my opinion, shot cannons at sparrows. Overall, Fortnite does not need much power compared to other current games.
In addition, AMD will soon be offering (7.7.19) equally good CPUs for a better price, or better CPUs for the same price, but with lower power consumption and less heat. Of course, in terms of gaming performance.
Since the i9-9900K produces quite a bit of heat *, I would recommend a Dark Rock Pro 4.

* Is mainly because of the fact that the i9-9900K is manufactured in 14nm, because it Intel does not get any finer now. AMD produces the next CPUs in 7nm, which is why they will be much more economical than Intel's in obsolete production technology.
You do not need a fan but a cooler if you the supplied is not enough.
You can buy anyone who fits on your socket, and almost everything is better than the supplied.
For Fortnite you do not need 9900K. But everyone as he means.
You're right!
Boy you know that an i5 from 2013 is more than enough for Fortnite?
You're shooting sparrows here with cannons, but please, that's your money.
Anyway, the 9900k has a waste heat of 130W, which packs pretty much every 08/15 cooler, for example, the here: https://www.mindfactory.de/...49244.html
The 9900k comes without a stick cooler.
Okay, thanks for the answer. I'll take a closer look at the fan and think about your recommendation for AMD.
I would recommend to wait for the first independent tests, there should be first coming out soon, probably just before the 7/7, but AMD itself says that their new Ryzen 3000 CPUs loose water to all current Intel desktop CPUs in gaming performance rich and at the same time multitasking.
Because Intel itself knows that one could forget their stick cooler with a i9-9900K.
Thank you. I'm currently using an Intel Core i5 6600 and that's not enough front and back. I have with this CPU all the time 100% utilization and many laggs or frame drops
So Fortnite recommends at least a much weaker processor than your i5, but it can be that the nonsense talk.
How did you check the CPU usage and what kind of graphics card do you have?
An i9 9900k is a complete overkill for Fortnite! But if you can't leave it, then:
The beQuiet Dark Rock 4 Pro is a good choice for the budget and processor. The cooler is very quiet, but still cools very well.
