For a few weeks I have had the problem that my PC keeps freezing for about 10 seconds and only when playing games (e.g. Fortnite). I've had the PC for over a year and have never had any problems. I have already tried to set the graphics settings very low, updated all drivers, re-downloaded the game, I even got a new graphics card from the company that assembled my PC, and nothing worked. I initially suspected that it was due to the graphics card, as I saw with the AMD software that the load often jumps quickly from 100% load to 10% load over and over again. A new graphics card didn't solve the problem either. Would it help to completely reinstall Windows? Otherwise I just have no more ideas about what else I could do. My PC is not bad from the specs either, so I paid about 700 euro at the time
if you have any ideas or suggestions I would be very grateful…
What does not mean bad, what is built in there,
What resolution do you play at, does it occur immediately or after a while?
What is the cpu utilization like when that happens? Temperature cpu and gpu?
Sounds like a bit too warm to me at first and slows down…
Check the temperatures while gaming with hhomework info
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: 8GB ASRock RX590 Phantom Gaming X
Games at normal resolution 16: 9 had already played 1 year and never had any problems. Other settings such as distance etc. Everything on low.
It only occurs during games, so when I surf the browser normally, there's no freeze.
CPU utilization was always normal at about 35% and the temperature should also be normal, which was always 50-55 degrees. The only thing that caught my eye was the jumps in the GPU load from very high to low over and over again. But that wasn't it, I got a new GPU
Thanks. But the temperatures were normal at 50 degrees.
what exactly do you mean by slowing down? How could you fix that then?
