Why uses so much memory?

My new pc arrived yesterday and i downloaded steam with ark Explorer Edition and epic games and Fortnite.
Jz is shown to me but that of my 512 ssd only 230 were free. Knows why this is because ark only downloaded 38gb.
Windows 10 is the operating system

Ark + DLCs require significantly more storage space
