Fortnite FPS dips / short laggs (stuttering)?

I bought a new gaming PC and wondered why I can play Call of Duty Warzone, Apex Legends and some other games on full graphics without any lag or FPS drops, but Fortnite can't. At least I haven't figured out how yet.

Here are my specs first:

i9 10900K 5.3 GHz Turbo Boost (normal 3.7GHz)

Nvidia RTX 2080 TI 11 GB

32 GB RAM 3200 MHz Gskill

144Hz Acer monitor with G Sync

I've already tried various things like updated drivers, made Windows updates, set the energy to high / ultimate performance, adjusted the full screen optimization, adjusted the FPS limit to 144 Hz on my monitor, switched the Gameboost / XMP on and off in Intel in the BIOS to test whether it is better nothing helps.

Otherwise it runs super smooth and the 144Hz are always held, above all these laggs / FPS drops up to 40/45 FPS occur in the lobby, but also in-game at the strangest places, but less there. The short still images come exactly when the FPS drops take place. I play on FHD resolution and everything on MAX graphics.

Task manager tells me I have a load of not even 20% in Fortnite, if only just above, CPU and graphics card and nothing gets hot, I have already checked temperatures.

My ping is constant at 0-10, so very good.

As I said, it is strangely only in Fortnite, but the game is one of the most fun for me and it would be a shame not to play it anymore.

I hope you can help me. If I should describe anything more please write here, I'm very grateful for any help!

Oh, and Mouse Smoothing and Mouse Acceleration I have both switched off in the Fortnite configs.

With an RTX 2080TI 45FPS? Do you play in 8k resolution?

Gu

Do you have Fortnite on an SSD? If yes, which? And if not your problem is hot buy SSD.

Te

The FPS go very briefly to 45 FPS during the break-ins and then I have a very short still image. Mainly in the lobby but also in-game times.

Te

Yes, the operating system and the games are on a 1 TB SSD → 970 EVOPlus Samsung NVMe M.2 (V-NAND SSD)

How full is your SSD?

Br

Try to undervolten your graphics card and turn off shadows!

Te

500 GB are free.

Te

I've got shadows off now, but the problem isn't gone yet. And I've never done Graka undervolten. ^^

It can't really be because of your PC as much power as it has. I think it's up to Fortnite itself and you can only try to change the graphics settings in-game.

Te

Yes, I noticed, in all other games I have 0 problems and it is going like a dream.
