Why is my suddenly high ping?

I used to have a 20-35 in Fortnite, for about a week I have a 45-80 ping, sometimes a 50 ping is there to lose the connection. Can't do anything at all. But only in Fortnite. If there's, for example, that the connection would be lost, I can still still normal, e.g. Go to a website, which also loads realtiv fast. Does anyone know why that is?

Maybe the Fortnite servers are blocking your Internet or your pc / xBox / ps4 does not like Fortnite xD
Sometimes the particular Fortnite server may crash and because of the increased ping. I would do a speed test on your router and compare it every other week
