Is it a sin to play video games?

I actually play Fortnite with 2 friends every day. I wonder if this is a sin. If this is a sin I want to stop because faith without works is dead. And I want to prove my faith in Jesus and God.

I don't think it says anywhere in the Bible that this is a sin. Not even in the 10 commandments.

If I can suggest something: Just ask God or Jesus what you should do. Let us show you what should be more important to you.

I do think you can play this game.

You can talk to God about it in prayer and ask Him if it's okay to play the game. If you find that there are things in the game that are somehow depressing or pulling you away from your belief, consider playing another game (sports games or something).

I think it's nice that you think about it and that's really good, because you worry. Clear answer: Our Almighty God Jehovah (YHWH / YAHWE) abhors violence, whether in films, music or in video games.
