I would be interested, since many pros say that the response time is important and all.
YOU are responsible for YOUR ping…
How do you mean?
I thought it was Epic Games' servers
So as far as I know the ping depends on your internet connection
often bad means high ping
YOU are responsible for YOUR ping…
And many ruffles don't do that, just no comment.
So it says there. "Fortnite's" can't improve your ping…
The ping is the delay that your PC needs via your internet line to the Epic servers. The distance and quality of your line are the only factors that can be influenced here. And it's not in Epic's hands.
Epic has very little influence on this unless they are planning to place the server in your front yard.
Ah ok, thanks for the reply, can I do something to improve the ping?
Connect the PC directly to the router with a cable - usually WLAN, DLAN / PowerLAN preferable.
This is pretty much the only way to have a significant influence on the ping.
If the games offer it, European servers are preferable to other regions. The greater the distance, the higher the expected latency.
If the ping is usually unusually high (three-digit range), you could at most be checked via the customer support of the Internet provider whether there are problems with the line. Another provider can also lead to different results.
Get better internet line. But that is partly not in your hands, because it also depends on which cables have been laid and are therefore usable.
Ah ok, thanks for the answer:-).
If you have a bad ping, this may be due to the server - but more so to your internet line. There are said to be games in which a bad ping is helpful, because you "lay" around so that nobody hits you. But it is usually the other way around, so your opponent has already shot you before you realize it, because your interlocutor can pass on this information to you with a delay.
