I'm M / 15 and I only have girls as friends at the moment. Actually, that has never bothered me much because I still had fun with my friends, but somehow I got thoughtful about why I don't have male friends. The guys from my year get on very well with each other and take everyone who wants to be part of it. They are nice to me, but somehow I just can't find a connection. As far as my nature is concerned, I'm very different from the boys from my year. I play e.g. No video games, don't listen to the same music, or have different opinions than the guys. I would say I'm relatively special, in contrast to others. But somehow I find it strange that I make good connections with the girls, but not with the boys (we understand each other and I talk to them every now and then, but I'm not friends with them).
I would really like to have a best friend. But I try not to pretend, which probably scares most of them off. However, I'm normally not one of those assi children who listen to German rap, spit on the floor, play Fortnite, wear Gucci things and I never want to be. So I have two questions: how can I find a best friend without having to give up my ideals and is it normal that I only have girl friends?

My son (almost 40 today) also had girls as friends almost exclusively as a child - he didn't play football, he wasn't as rough as boys often are, he got on really well with girls. At some point he met a boy at school who was similar to how he was. He's still in contact with dme today. You will still find your best joy and you!

So I think that's normal. Sometimes you get along better with the opposite sex. For example, I get along better with guys than with girls. I think you should accept that and if you ever find a boy with whom you get along then congratulations. And if not then don't worry about it.
Ideals is expressed a bit exaggerated in this regard⦠I just meant that under no circumstances do I want to pretend to get a best friend.
