I used to enjoy playing BF2, Gothic 1-3, AoE 1 & 2 and Unreal Tournament. I didn't think BF2142 was that nice.
Today I like to play the witcher 3. The new COD is not for me, because a lot of players shoot in a small space, I really enjoyed BF2. I also find Fortnite not so fun, because all are lone fighters and no teams fight against each other.
Is BF5 better than its predecessors?
I think Assasin's Creed Odysseus doesn't look that bad either.
But I can also imagine playing a multiplayer game, but WoW needs gaming almost every day. What do you mean, what's hot in the shooter area or in the RPG?

Some criticize BF5, but I like the game. If I were you, I would watch a review of the game on YouTube.
I think it's good that you're not "in such a small space" as you say in COD e.g.
I also like to play COD and I don't think it's bad either.
But I'm generally a little more open to new things in games and just play everything I like. I like Fortnite e.g. Not at all.
