I want to buy a new graphics card that will survive the year 2020 in WQHD.
I've been thinking about something like GTX1060 6GB or RX470 8GB, but maybe there are even cheaper cards.
I still have a 1050p monitor, but I would soon like to buy a 144hz FHD monitor and then get a 144hz 1440p monitor during the year.
The 144hz will not make both cards at maximum settings in every game, but having them and being able to use them in other games like Fortnite, Overwatch etc would be beneficial as far as the screen is concerned.
And I'm not interested in the 500 series of the RX because they consume too much power at almost the same power of the 400s.
The cards would have to be bought used because of the money, so a 1660s falls out there, and the soon to be released rx5500 etc.
What exactly are you planning to play in WQHD? Because the 1060 will not be enough for new games. Even my 1070 makes me a dash in the latest games by the bill at 1080p and highest settings. I do not always, or rather never 60 FPS.
EDIT: Ok, I see Fortnite, Overwatch, etc. Are these mainly the games being played?
Where is the budget? Which other components are installed?
Depends on what you want to gamble have bought a few days ago for my father ne 1080 for 290 euro. Much is even running on 4K
So my favorite is Aorus rtx 2080 ti xtreme monitor I have asus pg27vq
GTA 5, Battlefield 5, Fortnite, Minecraft, Rainbow six wins, etc.
Sure, I also have medium settings, but eg Overwatch on Ultra and WQHD is enough for 144hz
Well then, the 1060 is certainly not a bad card, but rather intended for 1080p. Whether the Overwatch on WQHD with Ultra details can represent, unfortunately I do not know.
Sure, if today was not Sunday I would buy 3 of them at Mediamarkt.
No such thing…
Ryzen 7 1700 to 3.5Ghz, 16gb 3ghz RAM, B450M mainboard and m.2 SSD and HDD
Well budget is not really big, I had bought on eBay classifieds a GTX1060 6GB gaming X from MSI, but that never arrived…
So best as cheap as possible and needed
Oh dear, I'm sorry. Yes, on ebay classifieds ALWAYS pick up, I will not send anything there, has no guarantee.
