As a christian one should buy video games that vlt. Include things like potions?
For example Did I get fortnite among other things and there are magic benches or not? Should you play that as a Christian?
And what about when such a game just bought cheaply and just wants to resell it because of the money? Should you do that as a Christian?
What do other christians mean?
So… That's a question that… Hm, in the Middle Ages there were also potions and Co. Christians were mostly but it didn't matter as long as they didn't believe that the whole thing really worked. So if you don't really think that these potions work, but that this is pure fiction, then I see no problem ^^
Hey I'm a Christian myself (17) and don't think it's bad as long as it doesn't burden your soul. It is also written that everything is allowed but not everything for the best or for your well. However, the virtual drinking of any magic potions does not lead to the bad or does not harm your soul (or do you feel bad at the same time?) With ego shooters like COD one should, however, think about what would Jesus do here? Since we always try to be like Jesus. Play in the same way in fantasy if there are demons or something like that, Jesus would certainly not approve of enjoying it. But asking for money for games is not bad at all and is also completely compatible with the belief that this says nothing about it.
Reality and fiction are two very different things.
The existence of potions in a game is not a problem at all. I would then rather think about killing.
Whether you want to equate sin in play with sin in real life is up to you. I personally don't.
A very nice answer.
In Paul's time there was a debate among Christians about whether one could eat "sacrificial meat" (meat that was consecrated to a pagan god in the temple and later sold on the market). His answer: If you feel free to do that, it's OK. But if you have a guilty conscience and do it anyway, it is sin for you. And: better not do it if you bring a brother / sister into a state of conscience. (You can find all of this in Romans 14).
"Who eats, do not despise him who does not eat; and who does not eat, do not judge him who eats, because God has accepted him… Everyone is certain of his opinion."
So you can't get around (as is often the case in Christianity) to form your own opinion. Some people are receptive to "esoteric ways of thinking", maybe they should rather not, others have no problem with it, then go ahead.

But it must not happen that I let myself be controlled by something.

Think for yourself.
