If you have bad Wi-Fi it can be. Since you are not the first to have to uninstall fortnite, many friends have to uninstall fortnite due to bad Wi-Fi. As I said, I didn't have that because of Wi-Fi, but because of a bug in Fortnite itself that slipped in during the update.
