Can't play Fortnite with friend, why?

I recently got the profile name from his epic account from one of my friends. When I wanted to adden in then at "Add Friend", it did not work.

"This account does not exist"

Then I gave names in my account. And with him came out the same result.

Can someone help me?

(I play on the XBOX and he on the PC)

That's a general bug. I was able to be geaddet by an xbox friend when I was offline, probably it works.
