Internet via cable (as Unitymedia etc. Offer it) is almost always associated with higher response times, compared to DSL.
The data throughput has nothing to do with it at first.

Me too, Fortnite makes a very big difference to the Editten. It simply creates a too big delay
The delay is 56 ms, and that's barely noticeable. Everything beyond that is no longer on your line
