I switched from a Gtx 950 to a GTX 1050ti mini, I know it's not that different, but yes.
But since then I've been playing very inconsistent fps that are very blatant and in fights in fortnite for example, dropping my fps from inconsistent 144fps to 100fps when it's fierce even to 70fps. I've got my gtx 950 back in and out today already I see constant 144fps, which hardly ever runergehen. In games like Apex legends or black ops 4, I have with the 1050 ti more fps than the GTX 950, but in pubg Fortnite, since the drop very crass.
Does anyone have any idea why that may be, I also have the latest drivers and I have cleaned before the change with DDU everything.
What I suspect is because I only have a 180w PSU, that the GTX 1050ti may need more power, but both graphics cards consume the same amount of TDP. It could also be because I've brought the 1050ti mini used that maybe already from the other user was ruined…
CPU is I5 7400
RAM is 8Gb ddr4
I also think that it is the energy. Maybe there's more in it!
But both have the same amount of TDP, can it really be the reason? Many have said that 180w is enough for a GTX 1050ti as it only needs one PCI express
