I installed the following parts in my PC:

Processor AMD Ryzen 5 1600

2x8 GB hyper x 3200 mghz

Nvidia graka 1060 6 gb

Mainboard msi b350 gaming plus

CPU is cooled with the largest be quiet fan there's

ASUS ROG Strix XG248Q monitor 60.5 cm (23.8 inches)
My problem is in game (Fortnite, for example) the fps fluctuate very strongly, they quickly drop only to 60 fps then again in the next second to 150fps but not a constant fps number or, as I said, the fps are more like 100.

Is my PC too bad for a stable high fps number or do I have to change any settings in the BIOS? Drifts are up to date…

What settings do you play in? In addition, it is always advisable to limit the FPS, because otherwise drops can occur even with the best PC. Personally, I always set this to about 100 or, depending on the screen, e.g. 144

All settings are on very low the fps I limited to 200 yes as I said my monitor has 240 Hz then maybe it is more on the PC?

If your average is 100, there's no need to limit it to 200. I would limit that to 100. In itself, the graphics card is not bad, of course slightly outdated, but by no means bad. The processor is slightly out of date, so you can do something about it in case of doubt, but that doesn't bring much more performance in terms of graphics that is because of the GraKa, which should be enough by far. Why you have to set the graphics on the map to low is more of a mystery to me, maybe the PC is a little littered?

Yes, the processor is not that up-to-date anymore, actually I don't have much on it, just the most important drivers etc. Maybe a program for mouse and keyboard and for my headset that run in the background and avira but otherwise there's actually nothing 'unnecessary' on it…

If I limit the fps in game, let's say 100, it still goes higher in some cases

What would be a worthwhile upgrade for the PC so graphics card and CPU that is currently on the market?
