For 2-3 days my CPU (i5 4460) is always at 100%. My settings are completely low. I do not know what it is for any help Thankful…

8GB RAM + 16GB RAM not accepted…

GTX 1060 6 GB

Al

Look at the background processes, if there any update file is running permanently… Was time my problem

Vi

Means what?

8GB RAM + 16GB RAM not accepted…

Ev

I wanted to replace eig my 8 GB ram card and upgrade to a 16 GB ram cat but without the 8 GB ram card my pc does not start properly so I just get the same 8 GB ram card again then it would have to work eig…

Ev

Yes I have the task manager and only if I already want to open Google he jumps to 100%

Sp

Have the same: You have to set your FPS to 60.

Vi

O.k so you play with a 8 GB bar and the 16 bar is not in the PC.

How do you know that the CPU is running at 100% on all cores? Can you show that to me in the game with MSI Afterburner?

… And you probably synonymous clear that your GTX 1060 6GB your "old-age" CPU full load? So your CPU must really work to supply the GTX with data!

Ev

I've always done ^^

Vi

You should rather watch the load with MSI Afterburner, right in the game.

Ev

How should I let that show me if I can't even play the game? 😅

Vi

Nvidia has a buck that uses 100% CPU

Download the latest driver.

Vi

I think when playing the load goes to 100%.

Ev

Okay, I'll do it

Ev

And even if I google on it goes up or look at YouTube, the video consists of still images…

Ev

Unfortunately, that did not help the load always fluctuates between 60-70

Vi

I can't think of much. To rule out a defect in the hardware I would like to expand the GTX and use only the Intel as a GPU. At the time the BIOS reset, not that the 16GB RAM latch has shredded the setting.

Otherwise back up data and to exclude a dirty Windows Restart Windows.

Vi

Oh yes, remove the 8 GB RAM latch again and again put in the right slot! How much slot does your motherboard actually have? And on the verge of asking your motherboard supports 16GB bars?

Ev

The 16 GB bar is already outside and mine has only 2 slots

Vi

What does not say anything about whether your MB supports a 16GB bar.

So I might just try it as I wrote it to you.

Ev

But my screens hang on my GTX and I can't do that with bios

Vi

You can still expand the GTX and hang your monitor to the internal Intel graphics and see what happens.

Vi

Bios reset is easy, see your manual.

Ev

I do not have a manual 😅 But I'll just check the internet

Ev

Achso true 😅 but do not quite understand what then has to do with my CPU 😅

Vi

There are things that just do not exist.

So a BIOS may hang himself "manchaml" under circumstances. For example, interfaces or RAM timings are addressed which are completely meaningless. What this can lead to an error that the CPU tries to address interfaces or components and receives no response or only faulty answers or with wrong timings from the RAM, which has the result that the CPU always tries to keep the data and thus leads to high loads,

There are sometimes problems that you can hardly get, which can also be problems with the power supply of the mainboard, which leads to high CPU loads etc…
