I have a gaming PC for a long time. Here are my parts:
Kolink Observatory RGB black
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (6x 3.6GHz / 4.2GHz Turbo)
be quiet! Dark rock slim
MSI B450-A PRO MAX
16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 GSkill 3000MHz AEGIS
960GB Patriot Burst (560MB / s - 540MB / s)
8GB PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 XT Red Devil
500W be quiet! PurePower 11
So and now my problem: I want to get a second monitor that has 240hz. That's why I want to set my FPS in Fortnite to this level (240 FPS). But this means that my PC has to work a lot more and requires more power. At the moment I had no problems because I only played at 60 FPS. Will I have problems with my 500 watt power supply?
The 500W power supply is enough
I was only afraid because the manufacturer recommended 650 watts.
As long as you don't want to fully utilize the CPU and GPU at the same time (which will not happen with gaming alone), 500W should be enough.
OK
Would take no less than 600.
600 or 700 would be smarter because if you later upgrade you do not have to buy a new power supply and the power supply is much more efficient because it is not fully utilized. Have a ryzen 5 3600X and an rx 5700xt but a be quiet! Pure Power 11 700W. (sry I only now realize that this is not a new pc)
Just calculate what your cpu etc. Needs:
cpu + gpu + cooling = if ca 550 then I would take a 600 so 50 more
: D
The manufacturer of the graphics card can't know what else you have in hardware on the PC and recommends generously.
