Why is my GPU always underutilized?

I have recently had quite a bit of FPS while gaming, which does not look nice with a 144hz monitor, then I opened the task manager and checked how my graphics card and my processor are busy, etc. And my graphics card is always in the 15% utilization range during gaming my CPU always at 40% load it would be better for the fps if the components were fully utilized right?

my setup:

Motherboard Asus p77-M-Pro

Cpu: Intel Core i7 3770

GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1060 (6GB) Asus

2x8Gb RAM

I play Fortnite most of the time and there I had about 250fps on average 1 week ago now it's 120-130

What do you have Windows 10 for? Greeting

The GPU is probably slowed down by the CPU and therefore not used optimally. Your processor has 4 cores with HyperThreading, but Fortnite is probably only very poorly multicore-optimized.

What about the temperatures? It could be that the CPU gets too warm and has to run down. You can read out temps with HWiNFO64, Core Temp or CPU-Z, for example.
