I recently assembled a new PC. And I installed and played fortnite. Unfortunately I only had about 150 FPS with low settings and my FPS also dropped very much in the bus in the lobby and in the endgame.
My hardware:
-RX 580 8GB (graphics card
-Ryzen 5 1400 (CPU)
-16 GB Ram
-B450 PRO VDH PLUS (Mainboard)
-120 GB SSD
-1TB HDD
I also have my fortnite and windows 10 installed on the SSD
PS: My monitor has 60 HZ and I have synonymous with V sync or with an FPS limit tried. EVERYTHING DOES NOT WORK
The Unreal Engine has the big gay and does not like AMD as much as Nvidia. Maybe you should just play something else.
I do not know. In the other benchmarks, e.g. It's going great on YT
Then look how high your CPU clocks.
How should I do that exactly?
I do not know that well
Goes well if you have a second screen. Open Fortnite on the first screen, the Task Manager on the second. Then you go in the task manager on the "performance" tab and then you look at how much GHZ your CPU clocks
Ok thank you
I'll try that first
My CPU clocks at the moment average of 1.50 GHz.
Since we probably have your problem. Get AMD Ryzen Master and clocks the CPU times to the normal 3.2GHz. Strangely enough, sometimes.
For me is synonymous "BASIC ACT: 3.2 GHz"
But thanks. Was desperate
Well then you have a bottleneck. If the CPU is simply too low I would say.
How can you fix this?
Settings that make the CPU more demanding are higher.
In the driver or where? Sorry that I ask so much but I'm just so excited
No, in Fortnite itself. Otherwise I would just look if Windows is in energy-saving mode (select power plan select & set to high performance or balanced)
I have now put it on high… But ingame there's not this attitude unfortunately
Maybe 140 FPS are just normal.
Take a look at Msi Afterburner's RivaTuner to see how well your components are working and how warm they are. And "Laggen" has something to do with Internet and nothing to do with performance ^^
Not really… In the waiting lobby it is at 50 - 130 fps in the bus 20 - 70 and in the endgame as well approx
Oh, good. Do you play somehow on 4K or something? Maybe you just adjust the settings to Medium or something
Oh, just see that you have already been helped. Hope you still have fun with your PC. LG
My cpu gets up to 80 degrees and my gpu around 70 degrees
I play at 1080p and mostly only make the 3D setting to maximum
Hm. I do not remember that slowly. How does it look in other games?
Thanks. But I have to do a lot more
I have only played Apex so far and that does not work quite as well but it is definitely high settings of 40 - 140 FPS… I have also used 3D mark Firestrike and so have around 1200 points
70 degrees at the Gpu is completely wrong, but 80 degrees at a Ryzen 1st Generation is extremely bad… They are very easy to cool, what do you have a cooler in the?
Is your cpu actually back to normal?
Boxenkühler… Should I change to one from be quiet? I think I have one more
Joa so 3,125 ghz
Sorry - now nothing more. I also had extreme performance problems. Then just reinstalled Windows and that has it fixed. Maybe you'll try that.
I had schonmal done But thanks for the help… I also noticed that I have not yet installed the chipset driver from the mainboard should I still do that? And would it bring something?
Maybe. Can you give it a try?
If you have one more then yes, but do not buy one extra. There are many good cheap coolers that are sufficient in any case, for example, the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro or well, the Be quiet Pure Rock is actually quite cheap. Just take what you like or adjust the fan curve of the Cpu cooler at the moment.
I have one more… Is that evntl. At the temperature?
I will
Yes, that is actually in order. Actually yes 3.2 ghz, but I think there's no big difference.
OK
But I'm in the mom at 75 degrees that is still so
Should I evntl my cpu overclock?
But that should not be. Too warm for such a cpu if you do not play / benchmark…
You can also try it. Is so easy with Ryzen
Ok I'll try
I'm playing
Well okay. If it does not bother you, then it's ok.
Jo… For me it should always stay below 85 degrees…
If I do not play it is overclocked to 3400 mhz to 55 degrees
Well, you can. Is then good.
But vielleciht you should not gamble only Fortnite…
I also play apex.
