Do i need more ram for Night of the Dead?

So I want to get Night of the Dead but it says I need 16 GB RAM but only have 8 GB RAM. Do I really need that much RAM? Can I do something so that I can also play with 8 GB of RAM? Because somehow I can't believe that this game takes more RAM than fortnite or other famous titles.

Minimum requirements: 16 RAM and recommended: 16 RAM

You can of course also play with 8 GB of RAM, but certainly with a loss of performance.
