I mainly play Fortnite and Overwatch. I have an AMD RX 580, a Ryzen 7 1700 and a 16GB Ram. Is that enough for 144hz WQHD?
You're going to have difficulty reaching the 144 FPS in 1080p on Ultra. Also, the first generation of Ryzen is absolutely unsuitable for high FPS because Intel (still) clearly wins. I would either put on the Ryzen 5 3600X or i5 9600k. With low to medium details in Fortnite, 120FPS + should be possible. High FPS are a huge requirement for graphics cards and many claim that a GTX 1080 is too much for 1080p, but in some games it is just enough. Straight MSAA or FXAA require enormous power and force also a RTX 2080ti in 1080p with GTA 5 in the knees.
If you go from medium to high settings, I would say:
FullHD 100-144 FPS → RX 580/590
WQHD 60 - 100 FPS → Vega 56
WQHD 144+ FPS → Vega 64
(If you stay with AMD)
With low settings you'll probably get 80+ FPS in Overwatch on FullHD with the RX 580, but 144 FPS are pretty much not in there.
I have a Vega 64 and a 144 Hz WQHD screen. With high to very high settings, I have about 120 FPS in Overwatch.
Even with an RTX 2080 Ti, currently the strongest mainstream card, you can't make 144 FPS with Ultra Settings in most games, maybe with medium.
Overwatch is relatively undemanding, that should be possible with a Vega 56, Fortnite is already difficult.
Overwatch is very modest compared to most other titles. With a Vega 64, you can't even beat WQHD at 144 Hz in the vast majority of titles.

When we talk about high, not ultra, it's usually in the three-digit range.

So with my Rx580 I come in FullHD to 180-100 fps
