Why are my fps so low in Fortnite?

Hey in almost every fight in fortnite my fps go below 144 fps, here are my specs:

rtx 2070 great

ryzen 7 2700x

32gb ram ddr4

asus rog b-450-e gaming

960gb corsair mp510 ssd

nzxt octopus x62 wakü

750 watt corsair power supply (gold plus verification)

everything built into a nzxt h500
