144 or 240Hz?

I currently have a GTX 1060 in my PC and now I wanted to ask if I should buy a 144 or 240Hz monitor?

I looked at the ALIENWARE AW2518h, the ACER PREDATOR XB272 and the ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR.

(In Fortnite I have around 130 fps in FHD)

144Hz, 240 are completely unnecessary at ner 1060

There are people who can barely make a difference between 60 and 144 Hz! But they are more of a minority.

Exactly so, the difference between 144 Hz and 240 Hz is irrelevant to most people, but this is more a majority of people!

And there really is only one (popular) game that would somehow benefit from it:

CS: GO

I see no reason that you should buy a 240 Hz monitor, just so you end up probably no better gaming experience than with a 144 Hz monitor!

A 144 Hz monitor is in itself more than good enough!

PS:

But only for a game I would not buy a 144 Hz monitor!

Precisely because the GTX 1060 reaches the 100 FPS mark only in the least (popular) games!

If you think the monitor is more of a future investment, or if you really play a lot of games at 100-144 FPS, even at the expense of the graphics, maybe

then that would of course be worthwhile! ^^

I will later build a new PC (currently Fertigpc) and in this one RTX 2070 or 2080 with a i5-9600k block, then still 144 or 240Hz?

Be

Yes, still 144 Hz.

I called you the reason for that!

I have my justification for 144 Hz instead of 240 Hz, I've never once considered the hardware of the PC!

I mention this in my additional commentary by evaluating the general meaning of a new monitor, whether 144 or 240 Hz!

For a RTX 2070/2080, a WQHD 144 Hz monitor would be the best choice!

I. In the opinion of a 144hz monitor is completely sufficient but I find one notices a difference between 144 and 240hz
