I have a 60hz monitor and I do not know what limit I have to make. Must it be capped at 60fps or can I also use it for example? Capping at 120fps?
I also noticed that the higher I use my FPS cap the more CPU usage it takes away.
And are 70% CPU usage normal with an I5 7400?
I can't say anything about the load, because I do not know how to use Fortnite's resources because I do not play it.
Do you have more than 60 FPS on a 60Hz monitor you have so-called Screentearing. The screen visually tears you apart. Ugly and impractical. This is trying to stop VSync. Bare caps (called clams) are basically stupid stops that cut off the image. VSync synchronizes the picture with the screen to the repeat rate of it.
In short, you could go to more than 60 FPS, but have a visibile in the visual aspect. So you should stay at 60 FPS through VSync.
Thanks, but i have no stops or anything like that. The fps tracker shows that if i Limit to 120 fps that I never go the fps more than 120fps but not less. Does that mean that because of my 60hz actually 60fps or how is that? That also feels better when I limit to 120fps than 60fps I do not have any screenting either.
