Motherboard: MSI B450M Pro-VDH Plus

Processor: Ryzen 5 2600

RX 590 or should I rather reach for the Vega 56?

Wi

Vega 56 is better, at Mindfactory especially in the Mindstar offer for 240 euro I think

Br

Ok, thanks. Will he fit on my motherboard?

Pa

With custom settings, the RX 590 creates the 144FPS.

Be

But is Blower Style. Something you can't recommend…

Ou

You just should not buy the variant, as a) hot and b) LOUD

Wi

C) These are actually all Vega graphics cards, if you play with a headset, you will not notice

I got the Vega 56 strix for 270 euro and am very satisfied with it

Ou

Yes, but that's a different caliber than a blower-style cooler

They have little opportunity to move large amounts of air → hot & loud

and not all vegas are hot, because you can do this relatively well undervolten

Wi

Sure, but as a warning, the graphics card is hot and loud, but if you're a headset player, that should not bother you

Br

Which one can you recommend to me?

Wi

I just remember, the GTX 1660 (TI) could also fit well, whether that is loud, I do not know

Br

Or should I stay with the RX 590? I have 300 euro available.

Wi

300 euro? Villeicht wait and see regularly for Mindstar offers, often there's something good in your budget.

So the RX 590 is quieter and will create about 2 years current games, I think

The Vega 56 is loud but will create about 5 years current games

For the GTX 1660 probably 3 years

It's your decision

Ou

There would be one of these quieter and cooler:

https://www.mindfactory.de/...33947.html
https://www.mindfactory.de/...36596.html
https://www.mindfactory.de/...70164.html

where I would put the latter in parentheses, since this exceeds your budget

Wi

In your budget would also be a GTX 1070 I just see

https://www.mindfactory.de/...50732.html

Br

If I got now number 2 would that also fit to my components?

Br

The https://geizhals.de/...ml?hloc=de already exists for under 300

Br

A fan design, let it go

Wi

Yes, that fits

Wi

Okay, Mr. Expert, was just an idea 😂

Br

I would rather for the Vega 56 so the 2nd have a freesync monitor.

Wi

I have those too, so the 2.

Can only recommend it, but make sure it cools well, it can get hot quickly, but otherwise it's great for the price

Br

Ok then I'll get the 2nd Vega 56 Thank you

Bo

Why not just grab a 1660ti on a budget?

It's much stronger than a 590, barely fainter in games than a Vega56 and consumes just 120W so it's still and cool. Cost from 265 euro…

The 590 can't be recommended, the 580 was already clocked over the sweet spot and likes to pull 180-200W times, just for comparison, a 40% stronger Vega56 stock consumed with 210W hardly more. The 590 consumes more than the Vega and is much weaker.

But I think if the competition produces cards that use half of them at similar power (vs. Vega 56) or even have much more power at half the consumption (vs. Polaris 590) then you really can't really recommend Radeon right now.

Ou

Depends on which GPU lengths your housing allows, the Ryzen 2600 should pack this… I myself use the Ryzen 5 1600 with a 2080Ti
