I've wanted to play Fortnite again for a long time.
I ordered a Gtx 660ti on Ebay because my rx 590 broke and I don't want to wait for the new graphics card, so I got a replacement card.
Old Amd drivers were cleanly removed and the new Nvidia driver for the gtx 660ti was installed and updated.
Windows and other drivers are also up to date.
This is my system:
Ryzen 5 2600x
Gtx 660ti Palit Jetstream
16Gb Corsair Vengeance on 3200Mhz
Msi b450m per m2 Max
Be quiet pure power 11 500W
500GB SSD
The problem is that the game suddenly freezes but I can still hear the sound. The game must then be closed manually. Graphics settings are on low and I'm playing at 1080p with a limited 144Hz that I can get with the card on. The card barely gets warmer than 70-75 ° C. Apex in 1080p and FurMark are also stable.
is this a problem with Fortnite (is there another update coming?) or a problem with my system?
The funny thing is I read all day my game doesn't work or it's bad and it's always Fortnite a coincidence?
No, we all know that Fortnite sucks.
It should work on your pc but lags could appear on march 13th is the new season if you want then i can add you then i can show you the new things
I guess it sucks after reading it all the time, PC have problems to run this game smoothly. The graphics were probably blown up in a game that doesn't even have these graphics
Have you already reinstalled the game?
It is often the case that Fortnite was optimized for the old GPU during installation and then runs very poorly with another GPU.
The game runs on 1080p and low settings with almost 150 fps.
Other games like Apex run stably at over 60FPS. I have no idea if something is wrong with me or if they just can't program at Epic games.
Thank you! No, I haven't tried it yet, but I'll tackle it now!
