I made the mistake back then and bought an Otto pc. Now I have considered buying a ryzen 5 1600AF and then buying a new pc in about 5 months when the rtx 30xx series are available and cheaper. It's worth it upgrade now or buy a new pc now?
My system:
Gtx 1050ti
Amd athlon x4 950 quad core
8gb 2400mhz RAM
Prime A320m-k motherboard
And if I should upgrade, should I still buy 8 GB of RAM? I actually only play fortnite and r6 on low settings
Buy you a new computer, the rest is not worth it

You only need to wait 2 more months, then you can buy a cheap, good computer right away.

Your ram is too slow, so the pc runs slower
Your ram is not that fast so it works but it should be at least 3000mhz by now
Maybe you won't notice it for a while, but you will get problems quickly
Upgrading this system is not really worth it. A new system was to be found straight away.
