My ping fluctuates when I give up apps in the background?

My ping in Fortnite fluctuates between 30 and 60 when I open Spotify and Discord, I play on the PC. If I haven't opened anything, it stays constant at 30-40. The annoying thing is that when I'm Discord I have a 60 ping, the gaming experience can really be desired, does anyone have any tips?

Spotify worsens your ping and therefore I advise you to switch to the YT in the browser, where you screw the quality up to 144p.
