My boyfriend (14) is very addicted to Fortnite, he plays all day. Even in school. That's a real problem, even his grades go down. He wants to drop out of school to become an e-athlete like Simex (Simex is his role model).

Most of the time, that doesn't work. Tell him he'd better do an apprenticeship. But there's not much you can do with an addiction anyway.
Btw Simex sucks. Your friend is either not 14 (more likely 9-11) or their IQ is below the measurable range.
Unfortunately, parents and teachers are rarely the ones who want to empathize with something like that. No idea about esports, the main thing is that children stop doing what they want and start doing what adults want.
