Apex Legends VS Fortnite?

I wanted to install Apex Legends soon. I wanted to ask you how the game actually works. Can you only play in a team? Is it better than Fortnite?

I do not think Fortnite is better, only I prefer to play it as APEX. I think both games are good but personally I rather play Fortnite.

Apex is funny

it suits me more than fortnite, but probably that's more of a matter of taste.
