Hello and I started using fortnite on the Switch yesterday. I got it to some extent. I also found out where to set up playing in a team, duo, etc. But when I go into the game I don't know who's on my team or if I'm on one at all. When I'm still in the lobby I see something where you can see that I'm in a team and three other columns are empty. Can you only play with friends? How can you just play with others in a team? Gladly also fa if people know my way around fortnite and can answer questions. It is best to switch players too. (Others go too.)
And I heard there's a playground where you can practice. Don't find them. Where are those available?
I'm also happy to receive tips / tricks and other helpful things.
If you go into a match, there should be a name in the top left and a number behind it.
If not, then you are alone and have disabled padding.
If you've turned this off, you can turn it on by ticking Populate when you select a game mode. The button for this is above 'Select'.

I have acted that I play in a team if you mean that.
So when you choose Team you can choose Fill in so you can play with others from Europe. And where you can practice that is called creative mode, you can select it just like normal I would with someone. Zsm who are experienced in Fortnite play creative mode because you can get lost there quickly. In the lobby where the columns are, you can then invite your friends when they are online and accept them.

So if you play with someone who knows his way around, he can explain that to you. Here's a little explanation: you can choose whether you want to play alone with friends or with others from the world you can either play something where you can be killed or a deathrun or you can create your own game and if you are lucky it will released. But you can also play something like killer or hide and seek (one has to search on a map and the others hide).

You can think of me talking about a headset (headphones with a microphone)
Do you need special or does that work with blutuoth headphones? Wouldn't be a real haedset but 2 headphones with such a plug (are firmly together and then there's a thing where you can regulate the volume and you can also talk about it.) Are those from sports.
