So I had a very bad 16k line, a relatively unstable ping at the beginning where we moved into the new flat at 8-16, after a while we had a 31 ping. So yesterday we switched to a 50k line with LTE connection, now is the ping in Fortnite at 41-71 and in Black Ops 4 31-91 and now I wonder why? Did something go wrong when switching to 50k? Can I change what's out with LAN CABLE? I try today lan out but because the distance is not possible to wipe I have to see how I do that, I'll go closer and then test. The best help me get a cookie!
A good ping does not necessarily have something to do with a fast Internet connection. The ping is the speed for data packets between server and client. Impact on the ping can therefore be the distance. If many requests are made to a server and it does not come in fast enough, the ping will be higher. So it does not necessarily have to be up to you. If various internet speed tests (already done?) Reflect good values, then it has nothing to do with your line, but rather with the game server.
LTE is a mobile phone and not necessarily for gambling. In general, a cable is always the best solution. Also, the ping has only indirectly to do with the bandwidth. More important here is the routing and techniques in between, such as interleaving, e.g. Earlier in the telecom for pings beyond 100 worried. But also with a 1 Mbit line were already 20 years ago with QDSL e.g. Pms of 5ms possible thanks to unprecedented routing in the home DSL sector.
Lte is first mobile and not mobile.
and if the router dials in via lte, it does not matter if you go by wlan, or lankabel to the router, because behind it anyway the access to the internet is lte ;-)
If you suspect that it's your fault, simply simcard / lte stick out of the router and see if that gets better.
otherwise you can't really influence your parcel times themselves. It always depends on the connection of source and target. If the target is overloaded, it will answer delayed… Happens frequently with gaming servers. Especially for those who put themselves somewhere n server.
