May my mother ban Fortnite at the age of 15?

Although the game is over 12 my mother forbids me the game. She said it was too violent blah blah blah rofl lol. Now I'm dead boring and I do not know what to do after school. The game is but from 12. Theoretically she can't forbid me, right? My mother can slow me down somewhere else!

Instead of making you meaningful with mumbled blunt language (bla bla bla rofl lol) and disgusting threats to what mom's going to be doing in the near future, consider some good arguments as to why this game is not violent and the only one is yours can banish puberty-related boredom. Since you have something to worry about, you can incorporate these thoughts into a meaningful argument and prove to Mama that you are no longer a little kid anymore. To draw your attention back to the fact that someone (who can't judge your degree of maturity) has released the game from 12 years, makes little sense. Decisive is the educational intention of your mother - and that for a full three years!

This question is legally not so easy to answer because you would have to consider the issue on several levels.

At the age rating level, you have the right to independently acquire media content that has been released for your age group and to consume it unsolicited.

Here it would have been in case of doubt the best just to make use of this right and preventive not to ask at all or to ensure that the parents do not notice what exactly you play or look.

That would be in the case of a game which is released for your age in the right in theory, your parents may not punish you if you play without being asked but without the present ban such a game.

Of course, now that your mother's ban is on the case, you can continue to legally acquire, own, and play Fortnite, but her explicit prohibition will allow her to punish you with parenting when you do it anyway.

Whether it would possibly be possible to invalidate their prohibition on the level of personal rights I do not know theoretically, one could argue arguably that an interference with the privacy rights for care purposes is not necessary if what is to be banned by official body is released for the respective age,

A clearly defined maturity which brings you a legal claim to your own decision against the will of parents as it is z.b. However, it is not possible to derive from the USK in the case of religious or sexual maturity (both from age 14).

However, there have been interesting cases in other areas such as nutrition, clothing, starting times where the judgments on the oriented what age-appropriate appropriate.

It would be problematic that your mother can you no matter what you do on the level of general PC / console use a dash through the bill.

So theoretically, it could well happen that a court grants you Fortnite and your mother then, under some pretext, collects your hardware completely (eg Advanced School Expectations).

Bestimmt You will definitely become a lawyer or politician 😉

First of all, yes, may she. Practically everything, as long as you still live at home, and get your food from her.

I've been a shooter myself for a long time, and Fortnite is a bit of a kid stuff. Since there's currently hardly anything else, it's just the kind of thing that parents are confronted with. Therefore, the argument does not seem harmless, because it's just a shooter.

Now I'm dead boring and I do not know what to do after school.

Jupp, that's a big problem for the current generation. Ask your mother what you should do instead if all your buddies play Fortnite. Then the vllt notices that she does not just for you through the prohibitions does something. Since all parents have ran.
