I would like to play Dead by daylight but I do not know any of the game has my question, I can play this game and similar games actually alone and are assigned to me as Fortnite then other players because it seems so it can only play in a team?

Dead by daylight assigns you random players. So you can play this game alone. What you want to play with similar, you have to describe more precisely.
Fortnite you can also play solo or duo. Simply select either Solo Duo or Squad in Game Mode. In addition, you can also play Squad but still only play solo. Simply make up

On Survivor side you always play in Dead by Daylight as a team of four. You do not need three other friends if you just want to play online. You will then be assigned to three other random teammates.
If you play as a killer, you're alone anyway. You do not need anyone else anyway.
There's also the option to play private matches in the game. Of course you need friends to invite you.
