I currently have an Intel Xeon X5650 on 4.02Ghz and an Asus P6T Deluxe V2 motherboard. I'd like to get a better CPU because, for example, Fortnite's GPU utilization is often 60% and a few cores of the CPU to 100%.
I would sell the mainboard with the CPU for 130-150 euro and spend a maximum of 200 euro for a new MB and a new CPU. I would have thought of an i7 4770k or a 3770k. Or should I take a Ryzen 5 2600? 97% intended for gaming.
Later it will be upgraded from the R9 280X to a GTX 980

I think it's worth more if you buy a completely new PC.
I would definitely take the 2600 on a b450 board. Has higher quad and multicore performance than the other CPUs mentioned. However, I wonder how you want to get CPU, motherboard and RAM in the 200 euro budget.
I would keep the whole thing. Just a new graphic.
